The situation
Keif Electric was a new company, but Adam was not new to the work. After years in residential electrical, he was building his own business around the reputation he had earned doing the job properly and earning trust one homeowner at a time.
The problem was that the reputation belonged to Adam, while the brand was starting from zero.
All of that experience lived offline. Keif Electric had no website, no Google Business Profile, no reviews, and no way for a homeowner searching for an electrician in San Luis Obispo to find the new business.
That put a ceiling on it. Every finished job created real value, but the value had nowhere to accumulate. A neighbor might get a recommendation over a fence, and that was the whole growth engine. Nothing was building search visibility, nothing was collecting reviews, and nothing was making the next customer easier to earn than the last one.
The reputation existed. The foundation to capture it did not.
The challenge
The job was not to build a website. It was to build a foundation that would scale and compound alongside his business.
Adam runs every part of Keif Electric. He performs the work, writes the estimates, answers the phone, and manages the customers. Any system that needed constant attention to stay useful was going to be abandoned. His time is better spent on a jobsite than researching which keywords he’s ranking for.
So it had to reflect the quality of his work, capture the trust he had already earned, and keep producing demand without becoming another job he had to do.
What we did
Four pieces, built in the order that lets each one make the next one stronger.
A website that matches the work
Built around how homeowners actually decide: who the person is, whether they can be trusted, what the job involves, and how to take the next step.
The site was designed to feel like the same business Adam runs in person. Straightforward, professional, and built around the quality of the work rather than generic contractor marketing.
A local search foundation
Google Business Profile established and verified, business information aligned across platforms, service areas defined, and the groundwork laid for review growth.
The goal was simple: give every finished job a chance to strengthen the business instead of disappearing when the truck leaves the driveway.
Room to grow
New services and new service areas can be added without a rebuild. The structure was designed to be extended rather than replaced, so the next stage of the business does not start with throwing this one away.
Measurement from day one
Analytics and search tracking were in place at launch, so there is a record of what is working before anyone spends money.
Paid advertising was deliberately not the first step. The foundation came first, so when paid acquisition makes sense, there is already a brand, website, tracking, and conversion infrastructure ready to support it.
The outcome
The business went from having no search visibility at all to being findable by people already looking for electrical services, with nothing spent on advertising.
First organic lead in three weeks
It became a booked job. Not a form fill or an inquiry that went nowhere, but work on the calendar from someone who found the business through search.
More than 30 search queries by day 60
The site went from zero impressions to appearing for a spread of real searches, moving the business from invisible to discoverable in its own market.
Zero advertising spend
Every result above came from the foundation itself.
Paid search is available when it makes sense. When it is turned on, it will point at an established brand experience with the infrastructure to turn that traffic into customers.
“Every hour I spend on marketing is an hour I’m not on a jobsite. I handed the whole thing to Offsite Growth and it got built without me having to think about it. Three weeks later I had a job on the calendar from someone who found me on Google.”
Owner, Keif Electric
The business was already earning a reputation.
Now it has somewhere for that reputation to accumulate.
